A Bit About Us

Here at Coal Mining in Leicestershire, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is to learn from our past, by understanding how we got here in the present, to be inspired for the future.

Since our Facebook group formed  in June 2018, we have been determined to make an impact, by getting local communities to come together to learn about Coal Mining, we now have over 1,400 members and have also branched out into having a Facebook Page and Twitter site.

The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs which is to keep Coal Mining Alive.

Our core mission is to deliver Coal Mining Heritage to Leicestershire and to keep alive our heritage, so future generations can understand how their ancestors lived to create a better future for us all.
